I am dedicating this blog to the heroes of the Boston Marathon.  Those that ran into the fire and smoke to save others realizing that other explosions or violence could end their lives.  Their stories have been mentioned but not emphasized enough.

We all want to know "why and more" about the two brothers who decided to take a sporting event and turn it into a carnage of death, pain, and dismemberment.  I will leave those stories for others to report.

Today, I want to emphasize Heather Abbott, all others injured, and the many others who placed their lives on the line during a tragic bombing a the Boston Marathon. They will always be my heroes.  Martin Richard, Lu Lingzi, and Krystle Campbell who are not alive today because of this needless and sick attack at the Marathon are also special heroes.

Johnny Gomes of the Red Sox, as a tribute, had their names placed on the trademark area of the bat.
